SANTORUM: My sense is that we have an obligation to support our generals in the field, to give them the resources they need to accomplish the mission. That was not done by the prior administration. Let’s be very clear about that. They put their own political imprint on the Afghan strategy.
Poor George. Governor Ann Richards was right. During the Democratic Presidential Convention for then Vice President Al Gore, Richards said; “Poor George…He cain’t help it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth.” Well, she was mostly right: I heard it wasn’t a silver spoon, it was a coke spoon. But who am I to quibble?
