…Ex-Gays butt up against the lesbian on the subject: “Gays Are Subjective: They Are Queer Because they Chose To Be Queer!” (Unlike the pro-choice issue for women, of course.)
“And then, since I’m not aware Obama and Tiger ever played golf together, what justifies these two superstars juxtaposed in the first place, except maybe … skin color?”
He’s absolutely correct – there is no disconnect between the two. Shaw makes an excellent point in suggesting that the abstract is far above the obvious:
Golf Digest fans: I have items that you left out of your front page:
If it’s Rush playing “Barack, the Magic Negro“, or if it’s Glenn Beck whining that the President is a “racists and has a problem with white people“. You can leave it up to Golf Digest to add to the racial damage by throwing Obama into Tiger Wood’s current sexual nightmare in an effort to squeeze nickels and dimes from the stupid and the ignorant.
And yes — You’re ignorant and stupid if you buy Golf Digest. <– My own personal stereotype.
“Money from our loyal donors should not be used for this purpose,” Steele told Politico. “I don’t know why this policy existed in the past, but it will not exist under my administration. Consider this issue settled.”
They’re falling off their nut.
Considering CQ Politics:
One blogger at RedState decided that wasn’t enough for him, anddemanded that heads roll — and, further, demanded that no pro-lifer donate money to the RNC until heads roll.
Steele and the RedState blogger apparently accept the notion that because the RNC has told its insurer, Cigna, that it no longer wishes abortion coverage to be included in its policies, that no longer will RNC money be used to fund abortions. As Steele said, “Consider this issue settled.”
But unless the Republican National Committee is the only client to whom Cigna sells its health insurance policies, the issue isn’t settled at all — because donations from RNC contributors will continue to fund abortion services.
The answer Steele was hoping nobody was noticing was that Cigna still offers an abortion option to other customers unrelated to the RNC, and Republican Fundraising money is still going to Cigna!
Hint to Mr. Steele: Find a new insurance agency that doesn’t offer abortions to any of their clientel — Including your own employees!
That’s all the RNC has to offer these days: Big bags of Dumb.
Here’s one to throw are your conservative relatives who are complaining about the Democrats offering to include abortions with your tax dollars… From Politico today:
Federal Election Commission Records show the RNC purchases its insurance from Cigna. Two sales agents for the company said that the RNC’s policy covers elective abortion.
Informed of the coverage, RNC spokeswoman Gail Gitcho told POLITICO that the policy pre-dates the tenure of current RNC Chairman Michael Steele.
“The current policy has been in effect since 1991, and we are taking steps to address the issue,” Gitcho said. [...]
According to several Cigna employees, the insurer offers its customers the opportunity to opt out of abortion coverage — and the RNC did not choose to opt out.
That’s right! If Michael Steele, chair of the Republican National Convention is your boss – you have the right to an abortion option with your Cigna health care plan.
To be fair, Micheal Steele has decided that he was confused and they will no longer offer an abortion option with their plan. He said:
“Money from our loyal donors should not be used for this purpose,” Chairman Michael Steele said in a statement. “I don’t know why this policy existed in the past, but it will not exist under my administration. Consider this issue settled.”
